Heavy Equipment Technician


Miller Energy is seeking a motivated Heavy Equipment Technician to join our mechanic team. If you have previous heavy equipment experience and are looking for a new opportunity, we want to hear from you! No certifications needed!

—-The Job—-

As a Heavy Equipment Technician at Miller Energy, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of a wide range of heavy oilfield equipment. This includes heavy-duty trucks, semi-tractors, excavators, backhoes, loaders, skidders, high-pressure pumps, graders, cranes, under-body blades, dump bodies, snow plows, trailers, and man lifts. In addition to conducting scheduled inspections, you will diagnose problems, disassemble units, repair or replace parts, and reassemble units in various systems such as brakes, cooling, drive train, electrical, exhaust/emissions control, hydraulic, air, steering/suspension system, and engines. Basic welding and fabricating skills for heavy oilfield equipment are also required.

—-The Must Haves—-

– Mechanical aptitude with experience repairing heavy equipment.

– Knowledge of the standard practices, materials, tools, and equipment used in the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment.

– Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions.

– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks at once, and apply basic problem solving skills.

– CDL-A or ability to obtain a CDL within one year.

– Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screen.

– Physically able to lift 50-100lbs, climb, reach, push pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, and bend.

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Experience:

  • Diesel Mechanic: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Heavy Equipment Repair: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • CDL B (Preferred)
  • CDL A (Preferred)
  • Driver’s License (Required)
